Version:2.1.0(A) (27 Jun 2003)

Upgrade Requirement:
Optional - Users should update to this version if their system is affected by one of the documented fixes or if there is a desire to utilize any of the enhanced functionality provided by this version.

Interoperability:
Continued full compatibility with iLOE and RiLOE implementations.

Diagnostics:
The local OSD commands screen now provides diagnostics capability to the local user. The diagnostics are intended to provide the user with a way to validate the integrity of the system.

Security:
The Security Lock-Out feature will now temporarily disable an account if the user enters an invalid password five consecutive times. If a user attempts to login to a locked account, the software client application will display an appropriate error message. All accounts (user, user admin, and appliance admin) are subject to this lockout policy.

PS/2 Reset:
The OSD user can cause a reset sequence to be sent to the currently connected server by selecting the “Reset PS/2” button on the OSD Commands screen. If the server is not running Windows, the reset sequence can result in the possible loss of I/O functionality. The PS/2 Reset Warning message alerts the user to this possibility and gives the option to cancel reset operation (Windows computers only).

Scanning:
The scan screen allows the local user to define a list of servers to include while in scan mode and the amount of time to display each server. The scan list has a maximum of 16 entries. The scan function is unique to the local user and is not available to any network user.

Sorting OSD List by Port:
If the user sorts an OSD list by Port the list will display either the Name or EID for each list entry based on the user’s default sort preference (selected on the OSD Menu screen). If the default sort order is Names the port sorted lists will show the entry’s name by default, otherwise the port sorted lists will show the entry’s EID.

Toggle Name/EID:
The Names screen has been modified to include a “Toggle Name/EID” button. This button causes the first field in all the rows to toggle between the Interface Adapters (IA’s) Name and the Interface Adapters (IA’s) EID. This enhancement allows the opportunity of the user to manage changing the server names when several Interface Adapters (IA's) on the same port have the same name.
